News From the Classroom

Oh! What fun! Wasn’t the Winter Celebration adorable? We love everything about it from the candlelit procession to the exciting Troika dance by the Bees! It is times like these that the staff has to pinch themselves that we get to work with your kiddos every day!

This last week of school for 2025 was a fun one – pajama days, movie viewings, holiday crafts and lots of singing and dancing.

We wish you all a wonderful winter break, filled with peace, love and joy! (If you want to add the adorable “Peace Like a River” song to your Spotify playlist, the version that we use at the WInter Celebration is by Elizabeth Mitchell)

Happy Hannukah! Happy Advent! Happy Winter Solstice! Happy Christmas! Happy Boxing Day! Happy Kwanzaa! Happy New Year! Happy Happy!

Gratitude Corner

Oh! How thankful we are at The Children’s Garden School for our health, our happiness, our homes and families, the  beautiful  property that our school is located at, the  peace, joy and love that we give to and receive from our families and the support from our Board and our  community, but mostly, we are so incredibly grateful for the children. Their joy and twinkle, their mischief and giggles, their hearts and souls, their happiness and deep feelings, and their daily growth and loving snuggles, providing us all with opportunities to learn and to teach. How dull our lives would be without these littles! We are indeed grateful for each and every one of them. To the kiddos!

Office Notes

News and reminders from the office.

Tis the time of year when we keep a close watch on our beautiful babbling brook. With heavy rains in the forecast, we are currently on flood watch and taking preventative measures.

Garden dads — and creekside property owners — Mick and Jonathon spent the weekend clearing the culvert on school property of vegetation and sediment, and will continue to keep a watchful eye as the rains roll in. Thank you!

We will contact families before class begins if rising creek levels on the property prevent access to the school.

Thank you for your understanding as we move through the rhythms of the creek on the property during PNW winter weather.

School Poems

Part of our daily routine at The Garden is singing or saying a few of our traditional poems.
