Parent Education at The Children's Garden

Our legal name, Issaquah Valley Family Education, reflects a core value of our school: learning is for children and families alike. From staff-led informational meetings to online parent classes, coming together with our Garden community to share experiences, compare notes, ask questions, and build meaningful connections is a unique and powerful part of who we are.

Kindergarten Readiness

Our Honeybee class offers a rich social and academic curriculum to prepare our students for Kindergarten. We assess each student based on Washington State academic standards and meet with parents in our yearly conferences to discuss kindergarten readiness.

The greater Children’s Garden area encompasses many school districts. View kindergarten enrollment and readiness information for these local school districts.

I have been enjoying the book Raising Your Spirited Child. Especially encouraging and helpful for those of us with a spicy Gardener or two 😉
