The Facts of Lice

From time to time, we like to remind our families to take a quick look for head lice at home. It’s a normal part of childhood and nothing to stress over — just a small way we can work together to keep everyone itch-free and happy!

Children in preschool and elementary school are most likely to get head lice – those tiny, wingless parasitic insects.

Lice look like small white specs no bigger than a grain of rice.

Lice cannot jump or fly, the only way for them to spread is direct contact.

If your child has lice, please treat and let us know. We will take measures to ensure our spaces are treated as well.

Children can return to school after receiving a lice treatment.
