Auction Catalog

Prom is on Saturday and we can’t wait to dance the night away with you!

In addition to being the most FUN night of the year, our annual auction is our biggest fundraiser of the year. This little Garden is made possible by the generous support of our amazing community.

Tomorrow’s auction will include six live items and 30 silent items. These exclusive experiences and items are only available tomorrow, in-person, at the auction.

Our online auction will kick off on Sunday, May 5th at 8am and close Tuesday, May 7th at 9pm. A separate batch of equally amazing items will be available online only during that time.

Please take note in the item title which items are available online only. All other items will be available at the Prom.

Thank you for your support!

The Mousehole

Oh! What a beautiful week at The Children’s Garden! From the All-School Annual Art Show through the Butterfly Teas and now, preparing for our annual Auction tomorrow evening. There are so many memories made in these last few months at our school!

Happy May! Just a little over a month left of this school year and we sure hope you are making the most of it! We’ve noticed that the families are hanging in the gazebo a little bit longer at the end of class. We have heard of several weekend play dates and summer camp scheduling going on. After the auction tomorrow night, we can’t wait to hear which groups are gathering for the dinner parties and other events going on throughout the summer. These preschool years are such a short moment in time, but what a moment in time they are for our students and their families and all the community building going on.

Please read on for Class news.

Ladybugs – What a fun week with the Bugs! They have certainly grown comfortable with the daily routine and are turning into Crickets before our eyes! We love to see the friends reunite each school day and take off to play in their own little game and imaginative play. We made butterfly wings on Tuesday and rehearsed for our tea on Thursday. The children have also started some special projects for Mother’s Day that they will be bringing home next week. Hope to see you all at the auction tomorrow night – I wonder who is going to get that beautiful Ladybug flower pot!

Crickets – As teachers, we hate to see our students having tears during class time or play time, but we LOVE to see how our Crickets have matured to their ‘almost Honeybee’ age, as they all run to who is crying and check in with them! It is wonderful to see. The Crickets made their butterfly wings on Monday and rehearsed their recitals for the Tea Party on Wednesday. On Friday we started some special projects for Mother’s Day that they will be bringing home next week. Hope to see you all at the auction tomorrow night. I wonder who is going to get that fun Cricket hand painted jigsaw puzzle!

Honeybees – Wow. These Honeybees wow us almost every day now. We are so impressed with how much they have learned, and how well they work together as a team. We have had a fun week preparing for the Butterfly Tea and then working on our Mother’s Day gifts. Tillson brought in three tadpoles from his pond for us to watch in the classroom. How fun! We read a Garden favorite book, The Caterpillar and the Pollywog, about a boastful caterpillar telling a pollywog that she was going to turn into a beautiful butterfly. The pollywog was so excited to watch that happen, that he didn’t realize what was happening to his own self! These three tadpoles have started growing their legs and the kids just love checking in with them several times throughout each class day. Thank you Tillson! Next week, we will begin learning about butterflies, insects and HONEYBEES! We hope  to see you all at the auction tomorrow night! I wonder who is going to get that amazing “Guess Who” game!

Gratitude Corner

Thank you to our Parents and Families who attended the Art Show last Friday evening and supported the beautiful artwork and wonderful dance performances of our little Gardeners. We are blown away every year by their works of art, their free and confident expressions and their pride as they frame and title each of their art pieces. We love the biographies that result from their interviews with Brin, and we love the audible giggles and gasps of excitement as they dance with pure joy! Thank you for supporting our love of the arts and supporting your child’s love of the arts.
