The Mousehole

Save those empty toilet paper rolls! The teachers would love to use them for lots of upcoming art projects. Drop them in the office or classroom. Thank you!

Ladybugs

We have some new Ladybugs, and we are so excited to welcome them to our community! Please welcome; Alaid and her parents Kristin and Jeff, Iris and her parents Paloma and Zach, Marly and her parents Alexa and Chase and Rhett and his parents Katie and Brian!

Crickets

We didn’t see you very much this week, but are excited to see you next week, when we are all about “love’ and ‘valentines’! Can’t wait to spend the week talking about love, prepping our Valentines’ envelopes and having our ‘jammy day’ next Friday.

Honeybees

The Bees enjoyed playing in the snow and turning our attention to “LOVE”. We ‘sounded out’ who we love and drew pictures of ourselves and our loved ones together, and wrote out by memory our three ‘sight words’, I Love You.

Our poem selection each week this February is all by black authors in honor of Black History month. We loved our Langston Hughes poem, Hold Fast to Dreams, and this week we had a giggle when we learned that a snowman cannot walk, but can ‘run’ when it melts, down the sidewalk.
Next week, we are all about Valentines! Wear your jammies and mail your greetings in each of your classmates’ envelopes.

Have a great weekend!

..and we’re off! Auction procurement is underway!

Our annual auction is a wonderful opportunity to support our school and students while enjoying an evening of fun and community.

Save the date for this year’s Kentucky Derby themed event held May 2 at The Lodge at Trinity Tree Farm

To make this year’s auction a success, we need your help in securing amazing auction items!

From now until March 31, we will be procuring donations to auction off at this year’s event.

Gratitude Corner

We’d love to give a shoutout to the local school district bus drivers who send out representatives at 5 am every morning to let the rest of the community know if the roads are safe or not. In the past, the staff of The Garden have been awake at 5 am, texting each other on whether or not they can make it to school or not, most of us admitting that we have not been out on the roads to check it out, but only able to report on our personal driveways. We so appreciate the local school district transportation experts who let us know by 6 am whether or not the majority of people can drive safely or not. It’s been a crazy week of weather and we appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding.
